Welcoming a new community quiet yoga group at Eddington

As we emerge from lockdown and it is safe to meet in groups (with social distancing) I am starting community quiet yoga by the lakeside at Eddington. The motivation is to offer people an opportunity to practice yoga together in a natural setting and increase a sense of wellbeing. I like to think about these practices as meditation through movement. For this reason the group meets on the mat and practices in silence. This can be a challenge! The groups are free, I invite you to give it a try and see if is something that you enjoy.

I will post more information as I get the go ahead to officially open. Quiet yoga Monday and Wednesday mornings 8.45am – 9.30am. To register interest please email me (Ramesh) at myquietyoga@gmail.com

More information to follow!

Quiet yoga at Eddington Lake

I have started practising yoga down by the lakeside at Eddington. It has been peaceful and refreshing to renew my yoga practice in nature. There is a resident kestrel that often flies around and the swans and and other water birds are pairing up. This morning I saw the first chicks of the year… two small, dark, downy feathered chicks swimming in the tall reeds by the water’s edge.

About me

I have been practising yoga for 20 years. I still remember the feeling of coming to the mat for the first time and the energy that I left with, somehow it felt like coming home. Yoga has continued to be an important part of my life ever since. I hold teaching certificates in Zen yoga as well as pregnancy and postnatal yoga. I look forward to meeting you on the mat.
